Summer in San Vigilio

We at Hotel Monte Paraccia grew up here and have known this mountain landscape from an early age. We are happy to share these experiences with our guests and personally accompany you to our Dolomites for relaxing days during your vacation.

Exploring the Dolomites

An open-air playground

When the snow melts, San Vigilio di Marebbe explodes into a thousand shades of green. Summer here is mild, sunny, and practically begs you to get moving. Forget the stifling city heat: the crisp air at 1,200 metres above sea level will recharge your batteries from the moment you wake up.

Hiking for every pace

Whether you are an expert mountaineer or a family with a stroller, the Dolomites have the perfect trail for you:
  • Valley walks: Flat paths along the stream, ideal for relaxation and for those travelling with dogs (such as the famous “Ciamaor beach”).

  • The Kingdom of Fanes: From the Pederü refuge (accessible by bus or car), trails lead to the karst plateaus of Fanes and Sennes, places steeped in legend with lunar-like panoramas.

  • Panoramic peaks: For those seeking a challenge, Piz da Peres or the summit of Plan de Corones offer 360° views that are truly breathtaking.

Two wheels and adrenaline

San Vigilio is the mountain biking capital of Val Badia.
  • MTB trails: Over 600 km of marked tracks are at your disposal.

  • Freeride: Plan de Corones offers adrenaline-pumping trails for downhill enthusiasts.

  • Zipline: For the bravest, the San Vigilio Zipline is the largest in Europe: a flight suspended in mid-air, 100 metres off the ground.
